Retour en France et choc culturel d´être plongé dans un monde nouveau rempli de choses bizarres et de vulgarité. S´est depuis toujours senti étranger, partout. 1972 - Découverte et apprentissage de la guitare puis du piano en autodidacte (à l´époque, il n´y avait pas de prof ni de livre ou internet et il fallait tout faire à l´oreille). Etudes de contrebasse classique au Conservatoire de Nancy (prof. Bernard Vautrin), mais toujours d´abord intéressé par l´improvisation. Rencontre John Jackson en 1973 (chanteur / guitariste dans le American Folk Blues Festival) qui lui apprend le Blues pendant les 3 ans suivant, à l´occasion de ses tournées en Europe. 1974 - 1977 – Travaille comme assistant régisseur de scène pour le Festival International de Théâtre Universitaire de Nancy (Kazuo Ono, musiciens de la Cour du Roi du Népal, Macunaïma du Brésil, et toute une foule de productions théâtrales du monde entier) 1975 - 1979 – Divers groupes de rock et progressive rock, naissance de Z le Mongol, KZLM, au cours d´un enregistrement en studio, Z le Mongol fait arrêter Big Ben, découvre ainsi la puissance de la pensée (avec l´inconvénient que depuis, tous ses réveil-matin se suicident régulièrement) Axe (« jazz-rock libertin ») 1979 - 1983 - Workshops avec Martial Solal, Didier Levallet, Philippe Petit, Sam Rivers, ARFI Bernard Lubat. Séjour dans la Drôme, joue avec Chaos et le Cirque Podingo. Cours d´harmonie avec Jef Gilson. 1980 - Retour à Nancy, jazz et musique improvisée (Petit Orchestre Joyeux, Grand Orchestre Mongol, AZ xtet, Dodo Hitchcock, Superlardin - Grâce à Hans Kullock qui lui ouvre les portes de son studio multipistes (8), premiers enregistrements en studio, et découverte de la technique du re-recording par nécessité (il faut corriger un instrument, on refait la partie, et on s´aperçoit à la fin qu´on a joué tous les instruments - petit Mike Oldfield est né) Musique pour 2 productions du Théâtre de la Cuvette. Musique pour la série TV « Maigret se Trompe » (A2). Président de Nancy Jazz Action 1982 Accompagne Mickey Baker sur une tournée NJP Compositeur et musicien pour « La Saga du Naja » à Nancy Jazz Pulsations 1983 Tournée en Pologne avec le Petit Orchestre Joyeux. Z le Mongol passe dans une autre dimension. Tant qu´à vivre dans un monde de star system provincial, décide d´aller tenter la "real thing". Départ pour Londres en 1984, tournées européennes extensives avec divers groupes de rock et pop singers (Bill Pritchard). Travaille comme journaliste pour Guitares & Claviers. Est resté suffisamment longtemps en UK pour découvrir et comprendre l´industrie culturelle. Quitte Londres pour Munich en Bavière en 1991 pour la musique du film « Schlösser » - Peter Zobel / ZDF 1991 - Rencontre l´accoucheur de paradigme Jean Poncet et Xavier Mignon, découverte de la métaphysique. Alors qu´il suspectait depuis longtemps que le monde partait sérieusement en eau de boudin, venait enfin la confirmation avec le pourquoi et le comment. 1992 - Seconde musique pour le film « Tokyo-Pankow » - Peter Zobel / ZDF. Performances avec des artistes munichois, apprend le chant harmonique, depuis (et jusque actuellement) nombreuses collaborations et performances de chœur de chant harmonique avec la sculptrice / chanteuse Barbara Henning. Adopte la viole de gambe en 1993, ayant repris des études musicales pour mieux connaître la musique traditionnelle européenne (Grégorien) à l´institut de Musicologie de l´Université de Munich et l´Académie des Sciences de Bavière (sous la direction du prof. Bernhard qui a autorisé l´accès à l´immense bibliothèque). Doit cependant chercher les éléments manquants (sur l´improvisation en particulier) dans les traditions extra-européennes, indienne, arabe et chinoise (parce qu´il y a de nombreux documents, plus ou moins bien traduits, mais heureusement la métaphysique est très utile pour décrypter certains passages). Il n´a cependant jamais été question que de faire revivre la musique d´improvisation modale européenne, pas de jouer au pseudo yogi. 1995/98 - Augsbourg - joue avec diverses formations de salsa (Havana Blend) et jazz (Big Band MW) - Eye Sample. Concerts et collaborations avec Al Gromer Khan, Amelia Cuni et Peter Michael Hamel 1994 - 98 Assistant ingénieur du son pour des enregistrements de musique classique avec Bernd Mahne (Solisti Veneti, etc.) Séjour en Inde en 1998, rencontre avec de véritables musiciens traditionnels, cours avec Amjad Ali Khan à New Dehli et surtout Keshavram N. Iengar à Mysore. Rencontre avec Mrs Premlata Sharma du Benares Music College (la voie de Om Karnat Kapur). Ce voyage en Inde a permis de confirmer de nombreuses choses (comme par ex. la validité de l´accord « naturel » décrit par Platon dans le Timée et utilisé dans le CD La Nuit et le Jour). Depuis multiplie les rencontres avec des musiciens d´autres traditions 1998 Théâtre avec Art Company "Spleen von Paris" (d´après Baudelaire) comme musicien et acteur 1999 Première production avec le système d´enregistrement numérique (Samplitude) acquis pour pouvor être indépendant des studios.
